[ステートメント]
長らく広告映像作家として活動した後に現代美術と出会い、絵具を「再現を阻むノイズ」と位置付け、あえて具象と抽象の境をゆく表現を追求しています。
独特のゆらぎある絵画は、読み解く行為を鑑賞者に強いることとなり、同時に、疑え、見つめ直せ、熟考せよ、と訴えます。
近年は気候危機問題に意識を向け、国家および作家自身をも含む私たち個々人に絵画を通して問題提起を行っています。
さらにこの度のロシアによるウクライナ侵略戦争に心を痛め、「人類は自殺に急いでいる」という言葉を用い、気候危機と合わせて地球の破滅を逆算していく『COUNT DOWN』シリーズを作ることに至りました。

After working as an advertising filmmaker for a long time, he encountered contemporary art and positioned paint as "noise that prevents reproduction." He dares to pursue an expression that straddles the border between figuration and abstraction.
His unique fluctuating paintings force the viewer to read and decipher them, and at the same time, urge the viewer to doubt, rethink, and contemplate.
In recent years, he has turned his attention to the climate crisis, and through his paintings, he raises issues for us as individuals, including the nation and the artist himself.
Furthermore, the recent war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine has pained him so much that he decided to create the "COUNT DOWN" series, in which he uses the words "mankind is in a hurry to commit suicide" to trace back the destruction of the earth in conjunction with the climate crisis.
